Now I'm totally all professional 'n' sheeit.

I gots me some buisness cards, dawwwg.

They arrived today - 250 pieces of white card stock with my name in pretentious small caps, above the title "Assistant Producer". And, of course, the SimCompany logo ["A subsidiary of SimParentCompany."]

I'd totally scan it in and stuff, but you know, that's probably not the most prudent thing in the world, that.

I don't think any of it was really official until this moment. But now that I'm official, it's time to...keep doing the same thing I've been doing since May. ;)

Last night we watched The Surreal Life. Porn star Ron Jeremy hitting on evangelist Tammy Faye Bakker. Mm-hmm. I don't think there's much else I can say about that.

God, that house is ugly.

I called my mom to day hi, but I was sort of on Conversational Autopilot. Just kept talking about nothing in particular, and I didn't try dragging any information out of my mom - the call only lasted 17 minutes as a result. Hope Dad's not being a bastard. But one would hope that after everything we've been through she'd tell me...right?

The weather is totally miserable here in the East Bay today. It's so foggy that we can barely see the BART from work - let alone Mount Diablo, which has completely disappeared.

But then again, it's all better than the 4 degrees that Doug will experience in Boston this Thursday.

Next week is the Console ship party - apparently a fancy catered dinner at a local banquet hall, and 3 hours worth of an open bar. Without any music or other entertainment, that could get messy. We'll just see how that turns out.

You know, I forgot to mention one of the silliest moments of the LOTR evening on Friday night. I mentioned that Hunter and Obi were crazy with the cameras.

What I didn't mention was that at the end of the evening, Obi hooked his camera up to the TV and we had a little "Evening in Review" viewing. We watched all of the random-ass video clips and photographs that had been taken that night on our television. Very meta.

I wish the people at work would stop flooding my inbox with Photoshopped images of how plastered they're going to be after the ship party next week. Sigh.

As for me, it's back to the database. It's not behaving very well. Grrrrrr. Access will be the death of me...
